Ann Douglas is an award-winning author and writer. Ann is also the co-author (with John R. Sussman, M.D.) of two other highly respected pregnancy guides: The Unofficial Guide to Having a Baby and Trying Again: A Guide to Pregnancy After Miscarriage, Stillbirth, and Infant Loss.

Ann and her teenage daughter Julie are the authors of Body Talk: The Straight Goods on Fitness, Nutrition, and Feeling Great About Yourself – an award-winning body image book for pre-teens.

Known for her lively anecdotes and real-world advice, Ann is a columnist for Conceive Magazine, Glow, Cahoots Magazine, Urban Baby and Toddler, and City Parent, and a regular contributor to numerous other pregnancy and parenting magazines. She is also a member of the expert blogging team at YAHOO! Canada and a featured expert at MothersClick and Club Mom.

A parent advocate who is recognized for her ability to entertain and inspire her audiences while getting to the heart of the issues of greatest concern to parents today, Ann makes frequent appearances at parenting conferences and on radio and television. She regularly hosts online chats and teleconferences, and is frequently quoted on pregnancy and parenting trends in such publications as The Toronto Star, Today’s Parent, Canadian Family, Canadian Living, Parenting, Parents, and Fit Pregnancy.

Ann is a member of the National Advisory Board for Invest in Kids -- a non-profit organization that recently launched The Parenting Partnership -- a national parenting curriculum for Canadian parents. Ann lives with her husband and four children, ages 9 through 19, in Peterborough, Ontario.
