Next time you are bored and need a fun activity to do with a screaming baby, make sure he is well taken care of before you start and then let them drive someone else crazy! :-) It really is a fun way to releive your stress, you actually are proud of your baby for screaming for no reason other than being a baby! :-) Enjoy!
Ok, I just had to share my story with all of you. I don't know about you, but with being home all day I get bombarded with these obnoxious telemarketing calls AND I'M ON THE NO CALL LIST! I spent hours of my life I'm sure politely telling them "take my number off your list and please leave me alone - I'm not interested and you are breaking the law by calling me - I'm on the no call list!" Then I changed to just picking up the phone and hanging it right up. Maybe they'd think that # was bad and just delete it. Oh no, these people are vicious! They start at 7AM!!! and don't stop until 9PM!!! They don't care about the baby sleeping and the fact that you break your leg trying to dash to the phone to grab it before it wakes the baby just incase it's daddy calling!
So, today I decided to have a little fun with it! :-) Brahhahaha!!! It was my turn to waste their time!!! :-)
I got the call, just when expected...the baby was waking up and screaming. So, I answered and guess what...I WON A CRUISE! No way, really?!?! Yeah right!! So, I put the phone on speaker and let Regan just go to town with his talking and yelling and made sure to keep the phone real close to annoy the heck out of the guy on the other end, and he proceeded to congratulate me and ask me if I wanted more details. Well sure I did (not) who wouldn't! So, we went on and on back and forth, with the baby still driving him crazy, and when he got to the end of his drawn out convincing (24 min and 38 sec later according to the phone) he asked for my credit card to confirm the vacation!
"Wait just a minute" I told him "I thought I WON this cruise, why do you need my credit card?"
"Well, you have to pay your port fees - it's state law"
"But I don't live in the state of Florida, I don't think it's the law in Kansas, I just want you to mail my tickets to board the cruise I have apparently just WON."
"Well, ma'am, maybe for you I can work out a special deal" Uh huh I thought, isn't it always 'just for you' with these guys. So after about another 5 minutes of going round and round he says...
"I can bring the deal down to only $59 a person, which credit card do you want to use?"
"Ok, mister, I'm home in the middle of the day with a screaming baby and you think I have the time, the sitter and the extra $59 per person? What planet are you living on?"
"But, ma'am, I thought you wanted to go and were ready to pack your bags?"
"Well sure I am, doesn't mean I'm going to!"
"But you've just spent 30 minutes listening to my speech and all our services..."
"Of course I did, I'm sick of you people calling with your scams so I thought I'd waste your time as much as you all waste mine!" And you'll never believe what happened next.....
He Hung Up On Me!!! Can you believe that?! :-) The nerve of some telemarketers! How dare they hang up on me! :-) Hopefully that taught them a lesson, and if not, well, I enjoyed making him suffer thru a 35 minute call with a baby driving him crazy!!
**just so you know, I was changing his diaper and giving him a bottle while the phone was on speaker, no babies were hurt or suffering during this expression of pay back!**
