What To Do:
Help your child to write the names of the important people in her life on a series of strips of construction paper. (Be sure to write the person's name in the middle of the strip so that it doesn't end up getting covered with tape or glue.)
What You’ll Need:
Strips of red, white, and pink construction paper (5 cm wide x 20 cm long). A black magic marker (washable). A roll of clear adhesive tape or a glue stick
-
Using either tape or glue, join the two ends of the first strip of paper together to form the first link in the friendship chain.
-
Slip the next strip of paper through the first link in the chain and then glue the two ends of that link together.
-
Continue adding links until the friendship chain is finished.
-
Variation: Instead of writing the names of your child's friends and relatives on the links in her friendship chain, write something you love about her on each link in the chain: for example, "I love the way you laugh when we watch funny movies together."
