Next time you are bored and need a fun activity to do with a screaming baby, make sure he is well taken care of before you start and then let them drive someone else crazy! :-) It really is a fun way to releive your stress, you actually are proud of your baby for screaming for no reason other than being a baby! :-) Enjoy!

I know most of you are still in the newborn stage, but in a few months when you're searching for new activities to entertain them you might try "washing dishes". Kids love water! My daughter (now 3 1/2) still loves being given a bucket of soapy water and all of our "dirty" plastic dishes to scrub clean.
And both kids love to water the plants outside (well, usually the dirt or brick walkways, but whatever!) with their mini watering cans.

I took the kids to the Discovery Science Museum in Santa Ana yesterday. It was a great way to spend a few hours on a cloudy day. My 16-month old loved the "toddler" play area (slide, puzzles, dress-up area) and my 3 1/2 year old enjoyed the special exhibits (Clifford the Big Red Dog, brushing giant teeth, sand/wave exhibit). Unfortunately there were a few school field trips there at the same time, which got crowded and overwhelming for my kids at times. They are having a bubble exhibit starting mid-March which we've been to in the past, and is definitely worth checking out!

Jordan and I have started having a weekly "girls day", which is so fun. Last week we went to Fashion Island to ride the carousel, play with the train set at Barnes and Noble, and then eat lunch in Atrium Court. This week we went to the University Center (across from UCI campus) and read books at "A Whale of a Tale" (awesome "old-fashioned" bookstore by the way), then had lunch. Not sure who is enjoying these afternoons out more!
